campsite campground Thornburg

Additional Information

Welcome to Indian Acres Club of Thornburg!

IA is a private member owned camping club, not allowed to be used as a residence/rental/timeshare etc. Owner's and family members can camp up to 210 nights per year.

Each lot has 30 amp electricity (included in the annual dues of 1536.00 per lot) plus water (billed separately by Po River Water & Sewer Co. about 34.00 per quarter).  Property taxes are minimal (less than 20.00 for most lots that aren't waterfront.)

The campground is open year round but water is turned off to all lots and some bath houses from late Nov. until March depending on freezing temps.

Sewer is only available in Glen 11 and a very few other scattered lots throughout the campground. Dump stations are available at each of the 38 bathhouse/comfort stations throughout the campground and there is a local company that comes twice a month to pump tanks for a small fee.

If you would like to arrange a tour of the Campground you can call Chris Schelling at 804-402-6723. Everyone over 16 yrs old must have an id.
